Important Information
- This is a one-off service for the completion of ACSP verification and does not constitute ongoing accountancy services, unless covered under a separate engagement agreement.
- There is no guarantee that verification or a confirmation code from Companies House will be successful.
- Our fee is payable in advance irrespective of the outcome.
- We may request additional documentation if your ID does not meet Home Office standards or differs from data already held by the UK Government. There is no additional charge for these requests.
- You must be able to confirm your address history for the past 12 months.
- Some checks may be “referred”, in which case you will receive a written update once the process is complete.
- If your ID fails verification, we cannot disclose the specific reason and will be unable to conduct further checks.
- Failed verification attempts must be recorded and, in some cases, reported to the relevant issuing authority in the UK and/or overseas.
Regulatory Compliance
- We are regulated by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and authorised ACSP by Companies House for this service.
- We are also bound by Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations. Presentation of fraudulent documents will be reported to the National Crime Agency (NCA) without prior notice or your knowledge.
Data Retention & Privacy
- We are required to retain your data for seven years. Your data will not be processed or used beyond this purpose, but may be reviewed to meet regulatory compliance.
- You agree that 1st Cloud Accountants may keep a redacted copy of your data for internal training and
verification process improvements.
Verification Process
Information already held on file for current clients may not meet the security or verification requirements for this
process. Therefore, clients are required to provide the necessary up-to-date documentation.
- In-person checks take approximately one hour. After an initial “likeness” check, your documents will be securely retained for additional security checking and returned once the process is complete. There are several cafés and shops nearby should you wish to wait locally during this time.
- For remote checks (Not In Person) e.g. You must provide two clear photographs of each document in advance, one taken straight on and another taken at an angle, ensuring the entire document is visible in both images and your thumb or finger is not covering any photo or data. Once the images have been received and checked for quality, we will arrange a Teams, Zoom or WhatsApp call to complete the likeness verification.
Acknowledgment & Agreement
By checking the agreement to terms on the website I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to the terms of engagement outlined above for the completion of the ACSP verification service. I understand that this is a one-off service and not part of any ongoing accountancy engagement from 1st Cloud Accountant.
